First time here and can I just say wow! The food was amazing, huge portions and great service! We got the chicken fried steak and the chicken Alfredo, mushrooms.
The staff was slammed. It took a long time to get our food but it was understandable. The hamburgers were delicious. Our server Haley was great and was working her butt off. We will be back at a slower time of day.
Had lunch today for the first time. It was amazing. Tried several things and all were great. Friendly waitress. Highly recommend this place.
This has become my go to for a quick dinner and a drink! The mules are fantastic, salads are fresh, and you cant beat their club sandwich!
On the outside, this place looks a bit dead and possibly not open. Inside however, is excellent service and tasty food. They are pretty fast too. Clam chowder was fantastic. Lots of content to dig into and not just liquid soup. Potatoes and clams are literally overflowing in the bowl. Chicken Fried Steak - huge chicken fried steak paired with a large side of mashed potatoes, both piled with their country gravy. Wow. This is a hefty entree for anyone. Gravy has bacon bits, is creamy, and tastes fantastic. Chicken fried steak was as solid as any other and the mashed potatoes had a great garlic flavor. Bacon Cheddar Burger - I like that burgers are half deconstructed so you can pick and choose what extras you want like pickles, onions, or tomatoes. Very nice for the average picky eater. It's a solid burger. Lock Jaw - lock jaw or heart attack, both are pretty solid names for this. It's three patties and these patties are 1/2 pound by the way. Like what, that's crazy. Anyways this is a meat lover's heaven in the form of a burger. Starving? Just get this.
So you this place has way better food that you might guess I had a mushroom Swiss burger and it was really good. The service was good as well. The place could maybe use a little updating but other than that it works.
Favorite place to eat in Albany. The menu is a little limited but what they do make they make well. I also enjoy this place for the drinks and the staff is always on top of things.
I love talking people that have never been, and meeting my friends that are regulars here!! Food is amazing and portions and pours are generous! Wait staff is always friendly and smiling!!
